What are PeakWise™ Energy Products?

PeakWise™ Energy Products are time-of-use priced energy plans from Southern Federal Power that offers two pricing periods:

  • PeakWise™ Energy Rate Zone – Lower electricity rates during off-peak consumption hours.
  • Standard Energy Rate Zone – Conventional electricity rates during higher-demand hours.

By using more energy during off-peak PeakWise™ Rate Zone Periods, you could save money on your electricity bill.

How can Time-of-Use energy products  help me save money?

Electricity prices fluctuate based on demand. PeakWise™ time-of-use energy products rewards customers who shift energy usage to off-peak times with lower rates. If you can adjust when you use high-energy appliances—such as running your dishwasher, laundry, A/C unit, electric heat, electric pool pumps, and EV charging during PeakWise Rate Periods—you can reduce your electricity costs.

How do I know Time-of-Use energy products are a good fit for me?

Time-of-Use energy products could be ideal if you:

  • Can be flexible with when you use electricity (e.g., evenings, weekends, or other off-peak hours).
  • Want greater control over your energy costs and are open to adjusting habits.
  • Prefer transparent, time-based pricing with no hidden fees.
